Denzel Washington offers an unapologetic look into the life of a functioning alcoholic that fortunately/unfortunately happens to be a commercial airline pilot who saved a lot of lives. John Goodman, devilish and lighthearted as always, brings much needed humor to the film while Kelly Reilly portrays a character whose need to get her life straight perfectly juxtaposes the tragic spiral of Washington's Captain Whip. Flight is entertaining, engaging and sends you home with the kind of touching message director Zemekis is known for. Solid storytelling all around.
