WonderCon Interview: Henry Cavill Praises the SUPERMAN Movie Cast; Hasn't Worn the Final Suit Yet

While promoting this Fall's swords-and-sandals epic Immortals British actor Henry Cavill took a few moments to share his thoughts about his role in director Zack Snyder's cinematic reboot of the Man of Steel.

Warner Bros' yet-to-be-titled Superman project, directed Zack Snyder, produced by Christopher Nolan and (to date) starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner is scheduled to begin production in the coming months for a targeted theatrical release in December 2012.

Cavill, who will be the next man to don the 'S' shield and iconic tights on screen, took a break from promoting his action-fantasy film Immortals to praise the Superman cast -- including his Lois Lane, Amy Adams -- and share his anticipation to begin filming.

"I really can't wait for it! Such a great opportunity to play such an iconic role.. I feel very lucky. It's fantastic, absolutely amazing. She's a great actress, but all the actors there are just.. wow, I'm overwhelmed. The opportunity for an actor of my experience, you know only ten years, to be a part of that cast and to be leading it is fantastic. And I really, really can't wait to be shaking hands and discussing the project with them all.

"I haven't worn the actual film suit yet.. no, not yet. The [costume] team is still working on it. I've done fittings.. and from what I've heard it's coming together wonderfully. It'll be fresh and new but immediately recognizable."

I was going to make the same observation. Sounds like he's at the point of giddy, which is a good thing.

I feel sorry for the actors having to hear a whole mess of girls ask Henry about Supes rather than focus on Immortals lol. I bet they were getting annoyed, even Henry. But it was expected.

I don't know, he looks pretty small yet to me, especially in this MTV video. He is smaller than the geeky guy interviewing him. He just doesn't have the stature and frame that I would like to see the Man of Steel have. Superman shouldn't be smaller than Green Lantern. Yeah, I know they won't be on the same screen, just a principle thing for me. Wink

It would help if I put the link here: http://www.mtv.com/videos/movies/638756/henry-cavill-talks-superman.jhtm...
