YES! This was awesome! I love everything about it. I can't wait until part 2!

The guy making these movies deserves at least 20% of the profits of any Mortal Combat merchandise for the rest of his life. This guy is breathing life into a DEAD franchise that hasn't been in any way interesting since the fourth grade. I'd hate to think that this guy is getting nothing for his efforts while lazy franchise owners who haven't contributed anything are getting rich. This guy deserves a dam medal.

Have you not played any of the games that have been released since MK4? I'd say that the franchise has gotten nothing but MORE interesting.

I admit that I've never really gotten into the MK games. The first movie left a bad taste in my mouth (as is common with video game movies). The games just looked to me like a bunch of mindless gore and violence centered around a lot of over-the-top mysticism. If I had taken a closer look I might have felt otherwise. This video series is making very easy for people like me--who generally roll their eyes at anything MK (I'm looking at you "MK vs DCU")--to eagerly jump on the fanboy-wagon. I will be VERY disappointed if this series does not continue into a second season.

still haven't watch an episode past part 1.
I've been waiting for this arc with great expectations. i'll likely still wait until all 10 episodes are done and then watch everything in a row.

While I agree that the gore and violence tends to be mindless ((especially the gore)): the story is awesome. I have a friend who hates playing the games but loves the story. Ignore the movies and most of the gore. If you just looked at the story: I'm sure that you'd like it. It's great stuff.

Agreed. MK9 has one, if not the best, story mode in the fighting game genre hands down.
