Frances Conroy & Alexandra Breckinridge Join Ryan Murphy's AMERICAN HORROR STORY
The two actresses have joined the upcoming FX drama pilot from Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
The thriller centers on husband and wife Ben (Dylan McDermott) and Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton) who move their family from Boston to a haunted San Francisco home in an attempt to rebuild their family after a miscarriage and affair.
Both actresses are signed on to play Moira O'Hara. Moira is a housekeeper who has worked at the focused haunted home of the series for years. The housekeeper is said to appear in her 60's to Viven Harmon, while a younger version of the character will appear to the husband Ben.
Frances Conroy is credited for her roles in various television series such as Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Six Feet Under, Desperate Housewives, and voicing Ma Kent in the DC animated feature All-Star Superman. Alexandra Breckinridge has played roles in Life Unexpected, Family Guy, and Sons of Tuscan.
American Horror Story stars Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, and Dennis O'Hare. Murphy and Falchuk will serve as executive producers on the project and production on the pilot is expected to begin now that Murphy and Falchuk have finished work on the second season of Glee; Murphy is set to direct the pilot.
