Four upcoming action-heavy films, starring some of the years more popular actors, had their title treatments on display at today's Licensing Expo.
Director Jon Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never) is set to bring G.I. Joe back to the big screen on August 10th, 2012. Channing Tatum will be returning as Duke in the sequel, along with Ray Park (Snake Eyes) and Lee Byung-hun (Storm Shadow). Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has joined the cast to play Roadblock, and Elodie Yung is in talks to play Jinx.
Director Robert Schwentke is helming the Darkhorse comic adaptation which is scheduled for theatrical release in 2012. R.I.P.D stands for 'Rest In Peace Department' and centers around newly deceased policeman Cruz (Ryan Reynolds) in a revenge based story. Jeff Bridges plays Roy, a veteran member of the force and another dead police officer who tags along with Cruz as they patrol the underworld.
Universal Pictures is targeting an August 3, 2012 theatrical release for The Bourne Legacy. which stars Jeremy Renner as an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne. The film is directed by Tony Gilroy.
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol stars Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, and Anil Kapoor. The film is scheduled for theatrical release. December 16th, 2011.
