TOY STORY 4 Currently in Development According to Star Tom Hanks

The actor who voices the iconic toy Woody has revealed that esteemed animation wizards Pixar, have already started work on a sequel to what many believe was the perfect film trilogy.

During a promotional tour for his upcoming film Larry Crowne, Tom Hanks not only confirms that he "thinks there will be a sequel", but that Pixar is actually "working on it now." Toy Story 3 made over a billion dollars at the box office in 2010 so despite the film concluding what many fans and critics perceived as a perfect ending to a trilogy, a sequel was inevitable due to the overwhelming financial success.
Actor Tim Allen, who voices Buzz Lightyear actually signed on for a potential fourth film last year and during the the LA premiere of Toy Story 3, Hanks uttered the words "bring it on" when asked about the possibility of doing another sequel. Pixar has yet to validate Hanks' comments but they have to be weary considering the criticism surrounding their most recent effort Cars 2. They also have a prequel to their Monsters Inc. on tap as well.

Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich commented on the possibility of a fourth film to MSN Movies a while ago and although he doesn't rule out a return to the franchise, he was more concerned in following up what many believe was a perfect ending in the third movie.
"I really tried my best to end the story of Andy and his toys and bring that story to a close in a really nice way at the end of Toy Story 3. That being said, we know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say good-bye to them completely. … We don’t have any plans for (a fourth movie) — but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive."

That's what I'm talking about! Why the hell is there no talk of that???? Pixar is slippin a bit, they need to leave Toy Story alone and get with some "Incredible" action.

Thank you!

If true, this is a bit disappointing, especially hearing about Cars 2. I really hope Pixar doesn't turn into "just another studio." Films like Wall-E and Up are really excellent and creative. I hope to see a return to that rather than capitalizing on existing properties. Keep the characters in shorts before original releases. That keeps the characters going, the marketing people happy, and the studio relevant.

I have lost all respect for Pixar. They made a movie (("The Incredibles")) that they could make a franchise out of, and yet they go ahead and make another film for a franchise that has already had its PERFECT ending. Why must they hurt my childhood?

Personally - I'm always down for more Toy Story. That being said. They had the PERFECT ending with the third one.
They'll have to do something crazy in order for a fourth to work - I'm betting it's years before we see it - Hanks might be jumping the gun here. Pixar is real busy right now.
As for Incredibles? Meh. I thought it was a great family version of Watchmen. I recently re-watched it and although it has some amazing action sequences, the pacing is so flat. A sequel will never happen for that one.

I think the TS ship has sailed. Frankly, I thought HTTYD was better than TS3, much better actually. I'd like to see a 2nd Incredibles, Monsters Inc. (I know, it's coming) or another brand new property before another TS.

Please Pixar, dont do that.
