FIRST LOOK: Tim Burton's Stop-Motion 3D Feature Film FRANKENWEENIE

Frankenweenie is a full-length feature based on Burton's original short film that he released in the 80s. Though it is shot in 3D it will retain it's black and white color scheme used in the first version.

Frankenweenie follows young Victor after he loses his dog Sparky and harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie is directed by Tim Burton and stars Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Landau. Walt Disney Pictures has scheduled the action-adventure-comedy to hit theaters October 5th, 2012.

Thank you Tim Burton for finally going back to what you do best, stop-motion creepy! Without Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter no less. Granted, I love them both in whatever they do, but I'm so tired of that Tim-Johnny-Helena trio.

So excited for this!!!
