SPRINGSTEEN Lands Number One Album Ending ADELE's 23-Week Reign

The boss has landed the number one spot on this week's Billboard Top 200 chart with his new album 'Wrecking Ball', edging out Adele's '21' which falls to number two after a 23-week run at the top.

Bruce Springsteen's new album 'Wrecking Ball' sold over 196,000 copies in it's first week of release, claiming the number one spot. Adele's '21' dropped to number two while some crazy sales ended up morphing the week's top 10 into something bizarre after Google Play and AmazonMP3 sold albums for as low as 25 cents each. The 'NOW 41' compilation sold over 152,000 copies and jumped from number five to four after a 235% increase in sales.
Other huge jumps included Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto', which leaped from number 29 to five, and Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' which hit number eight after it was 37 the week prior.
