Frank Grillo Joins Kathryn Bigelow's Military Thriller ZERO DARK THIRTY

Academy Award winning director Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) is currently filming her next military-laced project Zero Dark Thirty, which until recently carried the working title Kill Bin Laden.

Warrior star Joel Edgerton will star as the lead special operative on the hunt for the infamous terrorist. After several re-writes of the film's screenplay took place that incorporated the much publicized SEAL Team Six firefight which lead to the death of Bin Laden, filming was scheduled to take place in Pakistan this Spring but moved to India when the former's government denied the filmmakers access.

Frank Grillo (Warrior, The Grey) has been revealed as the latest addition to the cast which includes Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Edgar Ramirez, Mark Strong, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, Jennifer Ehle, Nash Edgerton and Harold Perrineau Jr.

Columbia Pictures has recently attained US distribution rights for the film while Universal Pictures has secured several international release locations. Zero Dark Thirty is being prepped to hit theaters in late 2012 or early 2013.
