Robert Pattinson Says He'd Definitely Like to Play James Bond in the Future

The Twilight franchise star has revealed that he would be interested in playing England's most famous super spy if given the chance.
During a recent interview, Robert Pattinson said that he wouldn't mind taking a crack at the famous character played by Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton and most recently Daniel Craig.
"Yeah, I'd definitely like to go for Bond, but in more like 20 years. There'd be nothing worse than, like, 'let's get a fresh-faced Bond.' That would be the worst idea in the world. It would be ridiculous to reinvent it as some young posh kid... I've got to make up for 10 years of living like a degenerate. I've suddenly become conscious of being unhealthy. You've spent every bit of free time since the age of 15 in a pub. And suddenly you're like, 'Oh God, I don't want to be this grey ghost sitting there with a pot belly.' I've got to get it together."
MGM is prepping to released the next Bond film Skyfall this Fall, with Daniel Craig returning to the role of the third time. Craig, whose initial casting didn't garner much support from longtime fans of the franchise, has since become widely popular offering a well received (and very action-oriented) portrayal of the character.
"After Daniel Craig, you have to have some baggage. I'd have to be tortured in the first few scenes. I'd have to do the first film with one arm or something."
Skyfall is directed by Academy Award® winner Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig, who returns for his third film as Agent 007 James Bond, Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Ola Rapace, Helen McCrory, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw. The screenplay is written by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and John Logan. SKYFALL will begin its worldwide roll-out in the UK and Ireland on October 26th 2012 and in North America on November 9th 2012.
