Actor John Leguizamo has revealed that he's attached to two new film projects, one of which is Ridley Scott's The Counselor where he plays a drug dealer and the comic book adaptation Kick-Ass 2 as a bodyguard assigned to protect the villain Red Mist.

Leguizamo will portray Javier, who is a bodyguard assigned to protect the villain Red Mist, portrayed by Christopher Mintz-Plasse. In the sequel, Red Mist undergoes a drastic character change from that of a less goofy villain to that of a more sinister and violent foe, even changing his name to 'the mother****er'. Creator Mark Millar has said that the film adaptation of his comic will be rated NC-17.

A sequel to the comic book based, R-rated action film Kick-Ass was greenlit back in September of last year. The film is based on the follow up comic Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall by writer Mark Millar and artist John Romita Jr. Last year, original director Matthew Vaughn left the production after it continued to be delayed and Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down) was tapped to replace him.
Kick-Ass 2 is due for release summer 2013 and stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down) and based on the comic of the same name by creator Mark Millar.
