Musician/film director Rob Zombie has revealed that he's channeling his old band White Zombie during the process of recording his upcoming new album. The forthcoming effort just finished tracking so check out Zombie's thoughts here.
Rob Zombie will unleash his new studio album in early 2013 and has just finished tracking the record with producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper). "It would be really easy to grind out a traditional ‘Rob Zombie‘ record, but I didn’t want to do that because that’s boring," he said.
"I went back to the early days of White Zombie, took some of the wild and insane elements out of that band, and combined it with the skill level we’re at now.
White Zombie was writing stuff that barely made sense. It’s so weird, but it kinda worked. I wanted to bring back some of that oddness and make something really new. We’re making our best record ever. It’s the most alive, raw and crazy thing we’ve ever done."
