Dane DeHaan, whose role in last year's found-footage styled superhero film Chronicle has helped bring him to the forefront of talented young actors, was recently asked to share his thoughts on the script for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and what drew him to the film:

"It’s awesome. It really is. It’s human and it’s deep and it’s also epic and still a huge superhero movie. But it all makes sense and it all comes from very human elements and I think people are really going to love it."

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field. The film, the first in the history of the franchise to be filmed entirely in New York, is scheduled for theatrical release on May 4th, 2014.
