Sony Entertainment is fast tracking the project, Cleopatra, due to a "brilliant script deserving of epic treatment" turned in by Brian Helgeland. They also are hoping to land James Cameron to direct before he gets too far involved with the Avatar sequels.

It seems as though Starz is now deciding to recast the role. After Spartacus: Blood and Sand's leading man Andy Whitfield dropped out to resume treatment for his Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Starz began to consider two options: Cancel the series or recast the lead role.

Men in Black 3 begins filming next month and three more actors are looking to join the cast. Barry Sonnenfeld is returning as director as well as lead stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. The bulk of the movie will be set in 1969 with Josh Brolin playing a younger version of Jones' Agent K this time. Jones will be bookending his role in the movie.

Now that the planned Mad Max sequels have hit production delays most likely until this time next year, Tom Hardy's schedule has opened up. Chris Nolan is looking to fill that spot in the next Batman movie.
