Networks Attempting To Produce Their Own Type of JERSEY SHORE

Now that Jersey Shore's ratings have sky rocketed over the summer; MTV is now contemplating possible spin-offs starring the members of the show. One concept circulating is a docu-soap about Pauly D and his work as a DJ; footage is being shot of the Jersey Shore member and his friends at clubs for the project.

Another concept that was rumored to be happening was a Snooki dating show, but it seems that is no longer happening. Another spinoff being considered is basically a docu-series that focuses on the relationships and real lives of the cast that you wouldn't typically see on the show.

Apparently other networks are thinking up their own version of "Jersey Shore." Lifetime Network has ordered twelve episodes of a new series called, "Brighton Beach." The series will revolve around a group of Russian-Americans living on Coney Island in Brooklyn. "Brighton" will differ from "Shore" in that the Lifetime series will have a multi-generational cast and will follow several colorful families, and the show will be centered on a popular local nightclub. Producer Elina Miller said last March, "We are big fans of 'Jersey Shore,' but the Russian community has its own set of characters which we think could be even more interesting. There will be plenty of vodka, techno music and guys wearing Adidas pants, leather jackets and gold chains, and driving souped-up cars. There will also be a lot of hot, decked-out Russian girls."

Comedy Central is also working on their own version of the MTV series which is titled, "Party Down South." The twist with this series is it will be edited more of a comedy rather than a serious reality series.

Why would anyone want to do that? So we can see more super testosterone males thinking they are cool but look like complete fools in the process? I thought there was already show called The Real World lol.
