GAME OF THRONES Season Two Promo Video Reveals New Characters & Footage

Check out this behind-the-scenes video which offers a very in depth and revealing look inside the world of HBO's dark fantasy, Emmy winning series. Game of Thrones season two is scheduled to air in early 2012.


Game of Thrones is an HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire". Set in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, where summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime, Game of Thrones chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the kingdom's seven noble families for control of the Iron Throne; as the series opens, additional threats from the snow and ice covered region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent across a narrow sea are simultaneously beginning to rise.

Game of Thrones stars Sean Bean, Mark Addy, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Iain Glen, Aidan Gillen, Harry Lloyd, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Richard Madden, Alfie Allen, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Jack Gleeson, Rory McCann, Peter Dinklage, and Jason Momoa. The series is executive produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss; co-executive producers, Carolyn Strauss, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis, Ralph Vicinanza and George R.R. Martin; producers, Mark Huffam and Frank Doelger.

New cast additions for season two include Stephen Dillane (John Adams, King Arthur) as Stannis Baratheon and Carice van Houten (Repo Men) as Melisandre. More additions include Liam Cunningham (Camelot) as the onion knight Davos, Natalie Dormer (The Tudors) as Margaery Tyrell, Gwendoline Christie as the knight Brienne, Nonso Anozie as a merchant prince, Tom Wlaschiha as the assassin Jaqen H'gar, Andy Beckwith as Rorge, Roy Dotrice as a pyromancer, Michael McElhatton as Roose, Robert Pugh as Craster, Hannah Murray as Gilly, Oona Chaplin as Jeyne, Patrick Malahide as Balon Greyjoy, Ian Hanmore as a Warlock, Daniel Portman as a squire and Gemma Whelan as the axe wielding Yara Greyjoy.

Season two looks good, but I'm probably most excited for Season 3. Cannot wait to see all those weddings and funerals.

Just started reading Book 2 night before. i've gotten around to the part where i realize that i hate Melisandre and that Davos is awesome. Can't wait Big Grin Though i'm interested in how they'll portray Rorge. also, i noticed they included a bit of the "It's me they're after, not you Gendry" scene in there.
