Tom Cruise was the man to break the news fans of his Mission: Impossible franchise have been waiting to hear: the movie's official title,

"It's not gonna be MI 2, MI 3, MI 4, but it's gonna be Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol... that will be the title of this film.

"One of the things that I always wanted with the franchise was for it to not have a number afterwards, because I haven't made sequels of films, and I never really thought of these films as sequels. When you see each one of them, I think it's distinctive of each film-maker who has worked on the series. It's a series that I love doing."

Brad Bird, the film's director, Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and producer Bryan Burk were present for the mini-conference; in which they spoke about filming in Dubai and it's 828-meter-high Burj Khalifa tower:

"We love the fact that it's a big, new city...it has the scale we look for in these kind of movies, because these are big movies. I think that it's almost like sets that you could never afford. We love the fact that it’s a big, new city, that it hasn’t been photographed very much … It’s almost like sets that you could never afford.”

Bird, whose directorial acclaim came from the Pixar hit The Incredibles, commented. Cruise added,

“I’ll be spending many days, many hours on the side of this building. I can’t give you details, but I will be up there.”

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol is set for theatrical release on December 16, 2011.

Much better than "The Dark of the Moon" and "The Dark Knight Rises" Tongue Looking forward to this, I love these movies and I'm glad that they've brought Renner on board, I think he'll make a great addition to the team, I wonder if he'll be another "point man" like Hunt or if he'll have a specialty like Luther.

He'll have a specialty: he applies the moose to Cruise's hair after each stunt.

And Cruise is moaning with delight the whole time. Chilling.
