New DRAGON AGE II Trailer Shows Gameplay Footage

Bioware has unleashed it's latest trailer for Dragon Age II and it not only gives more insight to the game's story but it shows breathtaking gameplay footage that is leaps and bounds from the first game in terms if visuals.

The trailer is titled 'Rise to Power' and shows a return of Flemeth, the first game's resident witch and shows that our main character starts the game off as a refugee who becomes a legendary warrior.

If you pre-order the game before January 11, 2011 you will automatically receive the signature edition of the game, featuring $20 worth of exclusive content for absolutely free. The signature edition of the game will include bonus playable characters, missions, extra weapons, awesome packaging and all kinds of goodies.

"The BioWare Signature Edition of Dragon Age II is a chance for us to reward loyal fans who preorder the game by providing them with additional high-quality content for free," said BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka.

Dragon Age II is due in stores March 8th for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of this is going to be pre-gen, character-wise, I liked the personalization in the first game.

It is, you play as that Hawke character they made up (not a cool customized looking one you made in the first game). Which is disapointing, but as long as I get to pick my class and powerups I'm content.

Actually, I think you may be able to customize the character like the first game you just have no choice but to be human (male/female) with the last name "Hawke". Which is still kind of a bummer as I like playing as elves.

This trailer looks Zack Snyder directed. I was a little disappointed in Origins (console version), so I hope this rectifies some of the original's problems. Bioware's usually class so I might check this one out.
