New Poster for FRANKENWEENIE from Director Tim Burton

Frankenweenie is a full-length feature film based on Burton's original short that he released in the 80s. Shot in 3D utilizing stop-motion, it will retain the black and white color scheme used in the first version.

Frankenweenie follows young Victor after he loses his dog Sparky and harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie is directed by Tim Burton and stars Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Landau. Walt Disney Pictures has scheduled the comedic horror film to hit theaters October 5th, 2012.
