Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios are developing a feature film based on the longtime Avengers comic book character with Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) attached to direct.

At this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego, Edgar Wright confirmed that Ant-Man would be one of his next projects. Along with Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige, he also debuted the film's title card and a demo reel of footage recently shot.
A new rumor regarding the project claims that filming may begin in London, England, as soon as Thor: The Dark World wraps there. Production on the Thor sequel is slated to begin filming this month and will run till early next year. If this report is accurate it means Wright would have to either postpone his third Simon Pegg/Nick Frost project The World’s End till after Ant-Man is wrapped or finish filming it by Spring 2013.
Ant-Man is the name of several fictional characters appearing in books published by Marvel Comics. Ant-Man was originally the superhero persona of Henry Pym, a brilliant scientist who invented a substance that allowed him to change his size. Henry Pym was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. After Pym retired his Ant-Man identity, successors Scott Lang and Eric O'Grady have used Pym's technology to take on the role of Ant-Man.
