Ethan Hawke & Julie Delpy May Secretly be Filming BEFORE SUNSET Sequel in Greece Right Now

Hawke recently teased that the third installment of the romantic drama series, tentatively titled Before Midnight, was being developed and some cyber investigating has found that it may already be in production.

Before Sunrise is a 1995 film directed by Richard Linklater, written by Linklater and Kim Krizan and starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy that follows young American Jesse and young French woman Céline. The two meet on a train and disembark in Vienna, where they spend the night walking around the city and getting to know each other. The 2004 sequel Before Sunset picks up the story nine years after the events of the first film. Along with director Rchard Linklter, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delphy co-wrote the script which plays out in real time as the reunited duo spend one afternoon together in Paris. The film is left open ended, and fans have been clamoring for a third installment since it's release.

Earlier this year, Hawke spoke of an idea for continuing the Before Sunrise story and hinted that the film may be called Before Midnight. Now it seems that production on this project could very well be (secretly) underway.

Here are the details thanks to The Playlist (via Collider):

- GR Reporter claims that Linklater has turned the area of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese into a film set for the conclusion of his trilogy.

- Flix notes that Linklater’s Detour Films is working with Greece-based Faliro House to produce the sequel, which helps explain the location of the shoot. (Before Sunrise was set in Vienna; Before Sunset took place in Paris.)

- Greece-Travel-Fun says Hawke has been in Greece all month and started shooting Midnight on August 15.

Blogger Andrew Bostock confirmed Hawke is indeed on the island shooting a Greek/American production. Bostock heard Delpy’s name among the rumors, but admitted he could only speculate that this is part of the Before series. One of the commenters on Bostock’s blog sighted Delpt and Hawke together at a supermarket in Kardamily.
